REFERRING ATTORNEYS
Burke, Harvey & Frankowski, LLC welcomes the opportunity to evaluate potential referral cases and co-counsel relationships with attorneys and law firms. We have referral relationships with lawyers across Alabama, the Southeast and across the US. We appreciate the confidence other lawyers have shown in our professional ability and competence. We take the time to build professional and personal relationships with each of our referring attorneys.
Our lawyers have flexibility in addressing the needs of our referring attorneys and their clients. Our participation in referral cases is based on our referring attorneys’ needs and wants. Burke, Harvey & Frankowski offers various levels of assistance to our referring attorneys throughout the litigation process. For example, our firm assists our referring attorneys with the following: initial case investigation; new client intake screening; local counsel; trial preparation, including drafting, discovery, and motion practice; and trial.
Of course, we also provide ”turn key” referral services to our referring attorneys that do not desire to remain involved in the case and simply execute a fee-sharing agreement. Thereafter, Burke, Harvey & Frankowski handles all aspects of the client’s file.
Our referring attorneys often send us cases involving: credit reporting issues; identity theft; nursing home abuse or neglect; securities fraud; ERISA; wrongful death or catastrophic injury cases with third-party or co-employee aspects (e.g., dangerous tools, premises liability or failure to use a safety device); medical malpractice; debt collector harassment and complex federal consumer protection statutes (e.g., Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act).
We serve as co-counsel with our referring attorneys and try cases in state and federal court. We are comfortable and confident in the courtroom – federal and state court. In addition to the above described individual cases, our firm receives class action referrals and Multi-District Litigation (MDL) cases from our referring attorneys. Our firm has the experience and resources to assist our referring attorneys and their clients throughout the complex litigation process.
